There are no perquisites for these courses.
We run 3 pathways/courses for our earthmoving machine units:
Students with Minimal or No Experienced (Beginner): We require you to hold a construction induction card or equivalent.
Students with Relevant Industry Experience (Experienced): We require you to hold construction induction card and candidates must have a minimum of 3 months industry experience in general construction, road construction or earthmoving.
Assessment only: For any students wanting up upgrade their current competencies to national coded earthmoving tickets, we require the either:
- A state/NOHSC operator ticket
- A letter from an employer (on a company letter head) verifying that the operator has at least 12 months of prior experience.
Once this is obtained students are then able to complete assessments only.
Participants must be able to converse and comprehend basic English. Participants will complete language, numeracy and literacy assessment on course commencement to assess their capacity to meet language requirements. Participants will also need to have the physical capacity to undertake the practical components of the earthmoving courses.
Our front-end loader course requires satisfactory completion of the following unit of competency:
RIIMPO321F – Conduct civil construction wheeled front end loader operations
- OHS requirements and documentations
- Pre and post operational checks
- Hazard Identification and Control
- Safe plant operation and techniques
Each course is facilitated by a member of our highly experienced training team in Melbourne, and includes trainer presentations and practical activities – so your participation will be required! Assessment activities include a knowledge test and satisfactory demonstration of practical skills in a simulated environment. At the end of the course you’ll receive a national Statement of Attainment to take on the job site.

Assessment only pathway is ran over half a day either in Rowville or on-site.
