RIICWD503E – Prepare traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes Refresher Course in Melbourne
This course addresses the competency required to refresher your prepare work zone traffic management plans in civil construction. It is highly recommended and required by Vicroads that you refresh RIICWD503E unit every 3 years.
There are no required prerequisites.
We require applicants to submit a copy of the Statement of Attainment for either the unit RIICWD503D – Prepare work zone traffic management plan, RIICWD503E Prepare traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes or equivalent issued within the last three years (current plan drawing ticket must not be expired by more than 3 months).
All students must have a minimum of 6 months work experience in the last 3 years as a traffic controller and implementing traffic management plans or working in the traffic industry in management roles to enrol in this course.
The ability to converse and comprehend basic English. Participants will complete language, numeracy and literacy assessment on course commencement to assess their capacity to meet language requirements.

The training program involves attendance and participation in a 1 day refresher program. Our workshop is facilitated by a member of our highly experienced training team, and includes trainer presentations, small group work and practical activities – so your participation will be required! Assessment will require satisfactory completion of a written test and traffic plan project.
This course is run at our Rowville training facility. The course runs from 8am-4pm and is a 1 day course.
This course can also be run off-site, on request of the customer. Minimum numbers do apply. Please contact one of our friendly staff should this be of interest.

A range of assessment methods are used to monitor student progress and assess competence including knowledge checks and practical skill demonstrations. Trainers are available to assist and support students in their learning journey and in the completion of assessment requirements.
