This traffic + first aid package is a fantastic starter pack for those looking at gaining employment into the traffic industry. This package includes 4 courses that are nationally accredited. Courses included in this package are white card, traffic control, traffic management and first aid. These training courses will give you the confidence to understand basic construction safety, control traffic using a stop/slow bat, implement various traffic management plans and apply various methods of first aid techniques when required.

Selection Criteria

This package is designed so that students complete their white card training first, to then complete RIIWHS205E Control traffic with stop-slow bat and RIIWHS302E Implement traffic management plan.

Key course information

Day 1: CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry:

– An overview of relevant legislation and industry regulations

– Construction hazards and control measures

– OHS communication and reporting mechanisms

– OHS incident response procedures.

The white card training workshops are conducted in Rowville

Day 2: RIIWHS205E Control traffic with stop-slow bat:

– Overview of OHS roles and responsibilities

– Site traffic management plans

– Hazard and risk management

– Principles of traffic controlling

– Working with road users

Day 3: RIIWHS302E Implement traffic management plan

– Prepare to and implement traffic management plans

– Set up signage scheme

– Monitor traffic flow

– Close down

– Storage and maintenance of equipment and signage

Day 4: HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

– Apply first aid procedures

– Perform CPR

– Communicate, report and record the incident

Each workshop is facilitated by a member of our highly experienced training team, and includes trainer presentations, small group work, open group discussions and in class activities – so your participation will be required!
