What is manual handling?

Manual Handling refers to a task that requires a person to lift, lower, push, pull, carry or otherwise move, hold or restrain any person, animal or thing.

How long does a manual handling certificate last?

Manual Handling training does not have a specific expiry date. This is up to your employer’s discretion or if see fit for renewal training. For example, some employers will re-train their staff in Manual Handling if they notice incorrect lifting techniques being used. The renewal training will ensure employees’ knowledge is current and safe.

This highly interactive training program involves attendance and participation in a 4-hour workshop. Each workshop is facilitated by a member of our highly experienced training team in Melbourne, and includes trainer presentations, small group work and practical activities – so your participation will be required!
