Construction Training Group are a leading provider of Forklift Licence training and assessment courses to both business and individuals. The length of our licensing courses vary, and are tailored to differing knowledge and experience levels of students. Our Forklift Courses can be provided at Construction Training Group facilities in Melbourne or alternatively at your work site. Group bookings are available.

All course offerings are nationally recognised and students will receive a Statement of Attainment on successful completion. Additionally students will need to apply and pay for a WorkSafe licence; this can be done at any Australia Post office or via the Myworksafe portal.

Course participants will receive a pre-course information booklet, which is required to be studied prior to attending the course. Completing the information booklet and attending the course in Melbourne will provide participants with essential knowledge and the skills to complete the forklift test. Assessment will include knowledge, calculation and practical testing. Full details of assessment requirements will be provided on the first day of the course.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

We currently offer two courses for forklift operations:Candidates with experience requirements

  • 2 Days in duration plus pre-course study
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum 40 hours of forklift operation time under supervision within the last 6 months ( Declaration to be signed by employer to confirm)

Candidates with minimum or no forklift experience requirements

  • 3 days in duration plus pre-course study
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Participants must be able to converse and comprehend basic English. Participants will complete language, numeracy and literacy assessment on course commencement to assess their capacity to meet language requirements.

Forklift experienced course (2 days)

$430 per person

$700 per person for on-site training

No forklift experience course (3 days)

$595 per person

$850 per person for on-site training

Re-Assessment

If you are deemed ‘Not Yet Competent’, you will have the option to sit a re-assessment within 60 days from the first assessment. There is a re-assessment fee of $325.00, and only one re-assessment is permited. So we highly recommend that you study your learning material at least 3 weeks prior to the assessment.

Please note: If you require us to come to you, there must a minimum of 4 people and a space of 400sqm and racks for training and assessment purposes.

A forklift license last for 5 years! We recommend refreshing your skills every two years though.
