COVID-19 UPDATE

Construction Training Group (CTG) is open and running training courses as usual.

As per the Victorian Governments Directions from 6pm on the 29th of October 2021, all higher education students completing hands on / face to face training must be fully vaccinated or hold a relevant medical exemption to continue face to face learning.

At check in and prior to training commencement you must provide CTG evidence of being fully vaccinated via:

1. A COVID-19 digital certificate displayed through the Medicare App or equivalent smartphone wallet

2. A printed version of your COVID-19 Digital Certificate or immunisation history statement provided by your vaccination provider, medical practitioner, or the Australian Immunisation Register*.

*You can contact your vaccination provider, medical practitioner, or Services Australia to request a print-out be sent to you.

Or

If you are exempt due to medical reasons, you must produce a valid “medical exemption to COVID-19 vaccination”

We have put in place a number of hygiene and safety measures to ensure your training with us is conducted in a safe manner at all times. CTG continue to monitor the advice and guidance from our regulators (state and federal governments) on a daily basis in relation to COVID-19.

Prior to arrival, students must ensure that they have not done, or had any of the following:

  • Been tested and confirmed to have COVID -19
  • Are unwell with any flu like symptoms
  • Have advised to self isolate from DHHS due to being close contact of a positive COVID-19 case
  • Been in household CLOSE contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 for 4 or more hours in the last 7 days or less
  • Experiencing fever or respiratory symptoms

Rescheduling

If you require to reschedule due feeling unwell or testing positive to COVID-19 then you must provide CTG with either of the following in order to reschedule:

  • A copy/screenshot of your PCR test result or
  • Doctors medical certificate
  • A screen shot of your positive RAT notification from the DHHS (at-home rapid tests alone are not accepted for rescheduling, you must have registered your positive with the DHHS as per Victorian Goverments Directions).

If you have been directed to self isolate due to being a close contact you must contact CTG straight away prior to course commencement to reschedule. Notification for rescheduling due to being a close contact after course commencement will not be accepted.
